Farm-First Design for
Serious Landowners
Apply to work with me 1:1 to design a regenerative farm and guest experience that actually fits your land, your life, and your capital.

Who this is for
Is this you?
-
You own/control land (2–400+ acres)
-
You're unsure where to start, or tired of “someday” plans.
-
-
You care about regenerative production first, but
-
You also want income from guests, small‑scale production, or both.
-
-
You’re stuck on what to build and how to plant, in what order
-
Road hydrology, water harvesting, syntropic blocks, guest spaces.
-
-
You’re not looking for another YouTube playlist
-
You want a coherent plan & advisor who's walked this path with real projects.
-
If that's you, the next step is simple:
HOW WE WORK TOGETHER (1:1 DESIGN PARTNERSHIP)
What working together looks like
I work with a small number of landowners each year in 12‑month design partnerships.
Together we:
-
Diagnose and map your 0→3 roadmap
-
Place your project on the farm‑first → farm‑stay map
-
Make the big calls on access, water, zones and flagship areas
-
-
Design your productive engine and guest loop
-
Syntropic / agroforestry systems suited to your climate
-
Where accommodation or guest spaces plug in without wrecking the farm
-
-
Sequence the next 3–5 years
-
Decide where your next dollars go (roads, water, trees, buildings)
-
Turn “ideas” into a season‑by‑season plan you can actually follow
-
Delivery is a mix of deep design calls, map work, and back & forth support, tailored around your seasons, family and existing commitments.
WHO THIS IS NOT FOR
-
You don’t own or control land yet.
-
You can’t move on your land at all in the next 3–5 years.
-
You want a quick fix or a cheap course to “see how it goes.”
If that’s you, start with my free materials instead: Free Design Templates here.

About Byron

I design farm‑first agroforestry systems that can actually support guests and income (not just look good on Instagram).
I’m the founder of Food‑Forestry.com and I help landowners turn productive landscapes into guest‑ready, regenerative assets. I’ve designed syntropic and agroforestry systems on everything from small homesteads to degraded farmland and commercial orchards, including my family’s 1.5‑hectare citrus block in New Zealand, which I’ve converted into a diverse syntropic system.
My approach has been shaped by working alongside leading practitioners in Brazil, USA, Costa Rica, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and by making plenty of mistakes on real land and fixing them.
Over the last few years I’ve:
-
Trained hundreds of people through in‑person events
-
Built an online community of agroforestry practitioners with weekly live calls, trainings and group consulting
-
Reached millions of people with educational content about syntropic systems and farm‑first design
Right now my main focus is helping serious landowners design farm‑first, guest‑ready systems: farms that work ecologically, produce food, and can support retreats, workshops and farm‑stays without compromising the land.
Through Food‑Forestry.com I offer a mix of on‑site design intensives, remote design sprints, and structured group programs, backed by ongoing community support.
If you want help designing a regenerative farm that can pay for itself and host people well, you’re in the right place.
