WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE AT THE EVENT

Advanced Management in Action
Go beyond the basics. Learn how to control growth with pruning, cycle support species, and manage succession so your system stays productive instead of overgrown.
Field Grafting & Propagation
One of the highest-value skills you can learn. We’ll practice field grafting techniques that let you speed up production at lower cost, and set up propagation systems so you can grow your own nursery stock instead of buying it in.
Hands-On Installation
Lay out rows, prepare the soil, and install a working food forest system step by step. You’ll see exactly how to structure a planting that produces food fast and creates an easy-to-manage system.
Farm Planning Frameworks
See how to map out your property, design rows and support lines, and plan for long-term production. These are the same frameworks I use with clients to install large-scale systems across New Zealand.

Why This Training Matters
Most landowners waste years (and thousands of dollars) not knowing how & where to start.
At this training, you’ll shortcut all of that.
You’ll see what actually works - hands-on, step by step - and you’ll leave with a clear plan to follow on your land.
You’ll learn and practice:
-
✅ Pruning and succession strategies
-
✅ System layouts that are easy to manage and produce year-round food
-
✅ Designing your own site with confidence
-
✅ Installation and equipment best practices
-
✅ Propagation and starter plant material to take home
This isn’t classroom theory. It’s on-the-ground training at a real food forest.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this for? Anyone designing their own land, starting a food forest business, or helping clients do the same. Whether you’re a total beginner or already consulting, you’ll get systems, support, and strategies to level up.
Is this just for people in New Zealand? Nope. We’ve got members from all over the world. If you’re in NZ, you’ll get access to extra in-person events and site visits - but the core Fellowship runs online. We run sessions across multiple timezones throughout the week to make sure you can always join, no matter where you are.
When are the events? Most of the in-person events run throughout spring, summer, and autumn in NZ - from September to April. That’s when we’re planting, pruning, harvesting, and running live trainings on the farm.
What exactly do I get when I join? Live training calls & design reviews via Zoom. Detailed walkthroughs of advanced syntropic food forests. A global support network. And practical guidance to help you design, install, and manage systems that actually work - whether it’s your land or your client's.
How is this different from YouTube or free content? This is the stuff that doesn’t make it to YouTube - deeper strategy, full design breakdowns, and real feedback on your projects. Plus, private calls, events, and behind-the-scenes systems that I actually use. This is where I support your specific project & goals.
Can I ask questions and get feedback on my land or client projects? Yes. That’s one of the best parts. Multiple times per week you’ll get to bring your questions to the live calls and get real feedback - not just theory.
What if I want Byron’s direct help? If you want to upgrade to “Done-With-You,” you’ll get a complete system custom-designed for your land: species list, layout, planting schedule, and a clear plan for installation and management.
Do I have to be an expert to join? No. Some members are just starting their first system. Others are already operating the biggest agroforestry consultancy in their country. You’ll be supported either way - and surrounded by people walking the same path.
What if I already have a design or food forest? Perfect. The Fellowship helps you manage, prune, troubleshoot, and expand your system with better results. It’s also great if you’re shifting to consulting or teaching others.
How long do I get access for? Your membership is annual and includes all the live sessions, recordings, in-person events and community support. You can renew after a year or cancel anytime before the next renewal.
